A Lawbook with Tabs, Search, and In-Game Editing!
Hello everyone! 👋 I’m excited to share a cozy and truly “living” lawbook for RedM. This isn’t just another NUI menu — it’s a fully realized book with bookmarks, neat typography, and intuitive navigation. Players can read it, and admins or whitelisted players can edit it directly in-game.
Key Features 🔑
- 📖 Atmospheric Book: Beautiful spread, bookmarks, and neatly formatted pages.
- 📚 Multi-Volume: Supports LAWS, CONSTITUTION, and any custom tabs you add (configure in
config.lua). - ✏️ In-Game Editor: Add/edit chapters, articles, and points without needing restarts!
- 🔍 Text Search: A compact magnifying glass button right next to “Close.”
- 👑 Whitelisted Editing Access: Editing is restricted to your Rockstar License whitelist.
- 🌐 Localization: Customize tab titles and headers through
Config.UITitles. - 💾 JSON Storage: Simple, transparent, and easy to back up.
- 🚀 Compatibility: Seamlessly works with RSG Core / VORP / RedEMRP 2023 (auto-detects).
- ⚡ Lightweight & Fast: Minimal performance impact.
*🖱️ Drag-and-Drop Functionality: Players can freely move the lawbook around their screen for a more comfortable reading experience.
*📖 Reading Animation: Features a subtle, realistic animation of the character reading the book, enhancing immersion.
Compatibility / Requirements ⚙️
- RedM (RDR3)
- Any of the following frameworks: RSG Core / VORP / RedEMRP 2023
- An “Usable Item” to open it (default is
lawbook).
Installation (Quick Guide) 🚀
- Place the resource folder into
resources/[wizard]/lawbook. - Start the resource after your framework.
- Configure
config.lua(set framework, whitelist, titles, additional books). - Grant the
lawbookitem (or your custom item) to players — and you’re done! ✅
How to Add Your Own Tab ➕
Simply create a civilcode.json file with the same structure as laws.json. After a resource restart, your custom book will appear as a new tab.

Thank you for your attention! 🙏 If you want “law” to feel like an integrated part of your world, give your players a book they’ll actually want to open.
